A selection of virtual productions I assisted with several stages, either on-site or remote. Each campaign had tight deadlines and needed to hit consistent benchmarks from client. Tech art tools were provided for each stage to allow stage operators to manipulate look and effects.
Virtual Environment Setup
Each scene has a custom environment with a long race track. Lighting and set dressing is iterated upon, and then rendered in multiple panoramic EXR sequences.
Stage compositing is done in Unreal, seen here. Comprised of:
LED Stage Mockup
Configurable light trails
Sequencer with material + speed parameters
EXR playback sphere
Various environments utilizing PCG Framework, including: Forests, cities, tunnels, garages, and countrysides
Virtual stand-ins of vehicles used to frame shots and pre-visualize light reflections

Collaboration of several virtual productions I assisted with Synapse VP. Each campaign had tight deadlines and needed to hit consistent benchmarks from clients. Tech art tools were provided for each stage to allow stage operators to manipulate appearance and effects. Provided further consulting to help with Unreal stability.
Each vehicle track is controlled via custom Blueprint splines, allowing us to set vehicle position, automatic railing, and set dressing such as light poles and rock walls.

Vehicle effects, like car light beams, can be isolated and aligned during shoots.
Virtual cameras can be easily parented to our vehicle stand-ins with control over speed.
Created matte background cities with twinkling lights, rock walls, and controllable volumetric lights
